Hail and Storm Damage Roof Repair Across Central Texas

We inspect and repair storm damage across Central Texas. Not every storm leaves damage, and not all damage is worth a claim. We photograph your roof, tell you what we see, and let you decide what to do.

Call the main line at (512) 584-3843, or request a damage assessment. Cedar Park at (512) 566-5510 and Round Rock at (512) 566-5511 answer around the clock, which matters when a storm lands overnight.

If someone knocked on your door after the last storm and told you your roof is destroyed, be skeptical. Damage varies street by street and sometimes house by house, and it isn’t visible from a truck. It also isn’t always visible from the ground, which is why an opinion offered from your driveway is worth exactly nothing.

What Hail Actually Does to a Roof

Hail damages asphalt shingles by fracturing the mat underneath the surface. The granules you see washing into the gutter are a visible symptom, but granule loss alone isn’t the same as structural damage. A roof can shed granules for years and remain watertight.

What matters is whether impacts have bruised or split the mat. A bruise feels soft underfoot and often can’t be seen at all from ten feet away. That’s what turns a storm into a claim, and it’s why inspections have to happen on the roof rather than beside it.

Wind is the other half. Wind damage claims are usually about lifted or creased shingles, displaced ridge caps, and torn flashing, and it does its worst at edges and corners where uplift is highest. Soft metal like vents and gutter aprons often takes visible dents when shingles show nothing, which is useful corroborating evidence.

How We Assess It

Someone gets on the roof. We work each slope, mark what we find, and photograph it, including the soft metal and the areas that show nothing, because absence of damage is part of an honest report. You get a documented inspection whether or not there’s anything to act on.

Then we tell you plainly whether we think it warrants involving your insurer. If it doesn’t, we’ll say so, and there’s no cost to having asked. If it does, you’ll have photographs to work from rather than a stranger’s assertion.

Where the damage is limited, we repair it directly, and that’s the end of it. When it’s widespread, the conversation shifts to replacing the roof.

Working With Your Insurer

We meet your adjuster at the property and walk the roof with them, so they see what we found rather than what we describe. We provide our documentation and our scope.

We don’t file the claim for you. That’s your call to make and your policy to manage, and we won’t tell you a claim exists when it doesn’t. The Texas Department of Insurance publishes its own guidance on storm claims, and it’s worth reading before you file.

If you do end up replacing, impact-resistant shingles are worth asking your carrier about. Some insurers discount premiums for a Class 4 product in hail-prone markets, and Central Texas is one. Our guide to hail claims covers the process in more detail.

Where We Work

We cover Williamson County and the northern Austin metro from three locations. Cedar Park jobs run from the Cedar Park base, which is nearest most of the Whitestone corridor.

Round Rock jobs run from the Round Rock listing, and Austin storm calls from the Balcones Club Drive location.

We work Georgetown, Leander, and the communities between them. Storm weeks fill fast, so the areas we cover are the honest answer to how far we’ll travel in a busy week.

Fourteen years in this market, fully insured, and thirty-eight reviews across our three listings. We don’t canvass neighborhoods after storms, and we never will. There is more on our background if you want to know who you’d be dealing with. Otherwise, reach us, and we’ll come look.

Frequently Asked Questions

You usually can’t tell from the ground. Granules in the gutter and dented vents or gutter aprons are worth noticing, but the key finding is a bruised or fractured shingle mat, which you have to check by hand on the roof. That’s what the inspection is for.

Only if there’s damage that warrants it. Filing on cosmetic granule loss can cost you more than it returns, depending on your policy and deductible. We give you our read and the photographs, then the decision is yours.

It depends on your policy and the date of the storm, and carriers set their own deadlines. Check your policy or ask your agent directly rather than relying on a roofer’s estimate. If you think you have damage, get it looked at sooner rather than later.

No. You get the inspection and the photographs whether or not there’s anything worth acting on, and whether or not you use us for the work.

Get a second opinion from someone who wasn’t looking for work on your street that day. Post-storm canvassing is legal, and some of it is honest, but nobody can assess a roof without being on it, and you shouldn’t buy a roof under time pressure.

It happens, sometimes correctly. If you believe the assessment missed something, you can request a reinspection through your carrier. We can provide our documentation, but we don’t act as your representative in the process.

That’s a question for your carrier, and it varies by policy and by how many claims are in your history. Ask before you file, not after. That’s one reason we won’t push a claim that isn’t clearly warranted.
